MIST X CHARU | Sun and Moon Earrings

In Tibetan iconography, the sun and moon respectively represent wisdom and bodhicitta (compassion). The sun cannot be looked at directly, yet it encompasses everything, just like the clarity of wisdom. The moon stores essence, but is also distant and unattainable, akin to the compassion that alleviates suffering.

The sun is the lord of the heavens, the moon is the lord of the stars, the sun and moon represent the duality of yin and yang, symbolizing the eternal and infinite space-time.
